The European plant produces more than 500 tonnes of glass per day - every day throughout the year. And with a 'u' value of just 1.1 it makes Triple Shield the UK's most efficient double glazing system. This means that Pilkington 'K' Glass will lose nearly 60% more heat than Triple Shield Double Glazing.

Triple Shield double glazing is manufactured using soft coated Low E glass which not only has a much improved 'u' value over K glass but also offers higher light transmission and a lower solar gain or in other words, helps keep the heat in during the winter and helps to keep solar heat out in the summer.

Triple Shield double glazing is 60% more efficient than K glass and and an incredible 140% more efficient than standard air filled sealed units.

Windows featuring standard air filled sealed units may appear to be a bargain now but your heating costs in the winter will be substantially increased due to the poor insulation value of the glass product. Our Triple Shield double glazing will save you money by reflecting heat back into your home.

The surface temperature of the glass is much higher than standard double glazing so furniture can be placed closer to the glass area without discomfort in the winter which is especially important in homes where furniture is almost always closer to the glass area.
